Timbercrete - Ancient Stone Series - Cladding Block

Manufacturer: Timbercrete

Timbercrete now offers its product in a form which can be retrofitted at a realistic cost. Turn an ugly old building into a beautiful solid stone looking structure while increasing thermal comfort and resale value.

Timbercrete’s Ancient Stone Cladding Block is available in two styles;

  • “Bevelled Limestone” (available in limited areas, check with your local supplier) which features a large bevel on the surrounding edges, or the new…
  • “Ancient Stone” (available throughout Australia) which features a rustic face with subtlechampers on the edges.

The cladding bricks come in a choice of textures; Smooth Stone Faced finish or a Textured Stone Faced finish.

Suitable for weatherboard timber, fibro, cement block and brick veneer homes, the Ancient Stone Cladding Block is ideal for retrofitting to:

  • New homes
  • Renovating existing homes
  • Home extensions
  • Commercial renovations and extensions
  • Landscaping
  • Covering unsightly walls

Match Extensions with Existing Structures

The Ancient Stone Cladding Block has the exact same external face size colour and texture as the Large Veneer Ancient Stone Series, however it is only 35mm thick instead of 110mm. This makes it a renovator’s dream because an extension can be built onto a house with the Large Ancient Stone Series, while the existing part of the house can easily be clad with a matching product having exactly the same texture colour and facial measurements.

Easy to Renovate

The cladding blocks can be;

  • Glued directly to a Hardy Flex or Blue Board with an external grade tile adhesive.
  • Glued directly to masonry products such as concrete or clay bricks with an external grade tile adhesive.
  • Secret screwed through steel sheeting such as corrugated iron or colour bond.

Timbercrete’s cladding blocks are approximately 2½ times lighter in weight compared to its equivalent in other masonry products. Therefore a weatherboard or fibro stud framed house can easily be converted into a solid stone looking house without compromising structural integrity.

The Timbercrete cladding block can be easily nailed to bracing ply (for internal walls). It can be nailed from the front with a thin stainless steel braid nailing gun, or secret nailed or screwed from behind. This gives you almost limitless possibilities. You can even turn your old tin shed into a beautiful looking stone barn, simply by screwing through the corrugated iron or colour bond straight into our cladding bricks.

Please note, talk to a building expert or an engineer to make certain that the corrugated iron walls on your old steel shed can support the extra weight of our cladding bricks. Alternatively run a supporting beam along the base: this is called a “wailing plate”. Timbercrete Ancient Stone Cladding blocks weigh 35kg per square metre.

Timbercrete also produces a smooth stone faced coining corner block in this series. The corner block is L-shaped. Being L-shaped they wrap around the corner giving the appearance of a solid single skin structure. This L-shaped corner block is also 50mm thick creating a traditional coining appearance.

Your house or barn will have a new lease of life with increased value and authentic stone appearance. Timbercrete cladding should greatly increase its value - far outweighing the cost of renovation.
