Manufacturer: Premium Floors
Readycork is a state of the art floating cork floor. Essentially, Readycork panels are manufactured using a 3.2mm high density cork top layer, permanently bonded to a 6mm moisture resistant, High Density Fibreboard (HDF) core with a 1.8mm cork backing on the underside. Panels measuring 900mm x 298mm (approximating the size of three traditional cork floor tiles) are joined together at the tongue and grooved edges to form a sheet of cork flooring that "floats" over concrete slabs or existing timber or chipboard floors. Readycork's Uniclic, click together system means that the panels lock tightly together without any glue at all, making for a clean and fast installation that is easy to do yourself!
Pre-finished with 5 coats of hard wearing UV lacquer, Readycork Uniclic is available in 4 attractive patterns, featuring the lime washed Harmony Creme. At last, a cork floor that looks great, is ready to walk on immediately after installation and is easy to install, maintain and repair, all backed up by a 20 Year Domestic Wear Warranty. Not only that, Readycork is one of the quietest floating floors available!
Warm Underfoot
Cork is a natural insulator of heat and so feels very warm underfoot. In contrast, floorcoverings like ceramic tiles are a conductor of heat and tend to absorb the natural body heat from your feet, feeling cold.
Quiet to walk on
Cork is naturally an excellent insulator of sound making it very quiet to walk on. Readycork is, in our opinion, the quietest floating floor in Australia.
Soft to walk on
As cork is simply millions of aircells trapped in a honey coloured casing, walking on Readycork Uniclic is like walking on a natural air cushion. In addition, many people who have lived on cork will tell you plates or cups dropped on a cork floor will often bounce instead of breaking!
The natural characteristics of cork makes Readycork Uniclic an excellent choice for any residential flooring application.
Easy to Clean and Maintain
Readycork Uniclic floors are very easy to keep clean and maintain. The occasional sweep or light wash will keep your floor clean, whilst occasionally polishing or re-coating your cork floor will replenish the coated surface as it wears throughout the years. In fact, in years gone by, Choice Magazine named cork floors the easiest floorcovering to keep clean and maintain
20 Year Domestic Wear Warranty
Readycork Uniclic is sold with a 20 Year Domestic Wear Warranty, offering peace of mind to all residential customers
Easy to Install Yourself
With its world famous Uniclic - click together system, Readycork Uniclic is easy to install yourself. Not only that, the fact that Readycork Uniclic is installed without adhesive means that installation is both clean and fast!
A Lifetime Floor
When you're purchasing a Readycork Uniclic floor, you're purchasing a floor for life. If you maintain your floor well, your Readycork Uniclic will often look as good in 30 or 40 years as it did the day it was installed. Readycork Uniclic Apollo and Copenhagen can even be re-sanded throughout their life to remove any small scratches or minor indentations.
Environmentally Friendly Floorcovering
Speedy Cork is incredibly environmentally friendly. Firstly, harvesting a cork oak tree at regular intervals is considered essential for the physiological recovery of the tree. Unlike any other tree, harvesting a cork oaks' bark lengthens its' life making the harvesting process environmentally friendly.
In addition, Speedy Cork is effectively manufactured from waste cork product. After the bark of the cork oak is harvested and dried, the manufacturing of cork stoppers (for wine bottles etc.) takes place. The waste that remains after holes punched through it from the manufacturing of wine bottle corks is then ground up and used for the manufacture of MJO Speedy Cork. The fact that Speedy Cork is made from the waste of an already environmentally friendly resource makes it even more environmentally friendly!
