Uniclic is the patented profile that is machined along all four sides of Quick Step laminate flooring to allow installation without glue. The ingenious Uniclic system, invented by the manufacturers of Quick Step, has a specially shaped tongue and groove that simply clicks together during installation providing gap-free joins without the mess and time delays associated with installing the old glue together laminate floors. Dimensionally stable
Quick Step is incredibly dimensionally stable ensuring that your floor will experience minimal shrinkage or expansion. The world famous Uniclic profile also helps the floor to move as a sheet, not as individual panels, minimising unsightly large gaps between boards.
Wear, Scratch Stain & Fade Resistant
Quick Step is incredibly wear resistant, scratch resistant, stain resistant, indentation resistant and fade resistant making it the ideal choice for any residential and most commercial applications. Quick Step is so wear resistant, it's sold with a 25 Year Residential Wear Waranty, (20 Years for the Classic Range). Warranties for Commercial Applications are available on request. Installed in One Day
Depending on the size and shape of the area to be installed, your Quick Step floor can often be completely installed in one day. As Quick Step needs no sanding or coating, there is no need to leave your home while dusty and often smelly sanding and polishing is carried out.
In most cases a home handyman can install approximately 30-35m² of Quick Step per day in an average area. Professional installers average approximately 50-60m² per day in an average area.
Easy to Repair
Another advantage of Quick Step is that it is also very easy to repair should it get damaged. In essence, there are two ways in which a damaged board can be repaired.
The first method involves un-clicking the floor to the damaged panel and replacing it with a new one. This method is most often used in smaller areas or when a damaged board is reasonably close to the starting or finishing wall.
The second method, usually carried out by professional installers, involves cutting the damaged board out and replacing it with a new board, without un-clicking any other panels in the floor. In many cases though, small indentations and scratches can be filled using Quick Step Mix & Fix. Quick Step Mix & Fix is a designated repair paste that can be mixed to match all Quick Step colours.
Easy to maintain
Quick Step is also incredibly easy to maintain as no polishing or coating is ever required. When your floor looks dirty simply sweep it clean and occasionally give it a wash. Quick Step Maintenance Product makes it so easy to keep your floor clean. There's even a special Quick Step Maintenance Kit which includes some Quick Step Maintenance Product and the easy to use flipper mop with a swivel head and disposable cloths.
New Quick Step Force
Now, there is even a special stain remover, for those really difficult stains. Quick Step Force is specifically designed to remove most stains from your Quick Step floor.
Quick Step provides an hygienic, easy to clean surface that is resistant to stains, scuffs and day to day wear and tear.
Installed over Moist or Heated Subfloors
Unlike other flooring options, Quick Step can be installed over a moist subfloor. As it is a floating floor, and therefore not directly adhered to the subfloor, simply putting taped plastic sheeting under the foam underlay will prevent subfloor moisture from affecting your lovely new floor. Real Warranty
Quick Step is sold with a 25 Year Wear Warranty in all domestic installations.(20 Years for the Classic range) This warranty also covers any delamination of the top layer from the HDF core, except in the case of excessive moisture ingress.
